Position Overview:
The Town of Langenburg is seeking a dedicated and motivated Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) to lead the municipality's operations. Reporting directly to the Town Council, the CAO will work with the council on all parts of the municipality’s operations, including administration, finance, and community development.

Langenburg, located in Southeast Saskatchewan, is a growing community with a strong farming and mining industry, boasting modern facilities like a new Pre-K to Grade 12 school, an outdoor swimming pool, and a senior living complex under construction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the municipality in collaboration with the Council.
  • Manage municipal finances, including General Ledger, Utility Billing, Tax Roll, Accounts Payable, and Receivable using MuniSoft software.
  • Deliver guidance in human resources management.
  • Handle communication, public relations, and community engagement efforts.
  • Coordinate various projects, ensuring timely completion and prioritization of tasks.
  • Attend meetings, conventions, elections, and engage in emergency planning as required.

Qualifications:

  • Certificate in Local Government Authority (LGA) or working toward completion of LGA courses.
  • Experience with MuniSoft software.
  • Strong oral and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in technology (Excel, Word, Outlook, Internet).
  • Capacity to multitask and arrange projects efficiently.
  • Community-oriented with a self-motivated approach to advocating for Langenburg's growth.
