We require an experienced and dynamic Restaurant General Manager for our location at Moose Jaw. Successful candidates will be motivated individuals who are accustomed to fast-paced environments and passionate about the food service industry.

 

Position Overview:

The general restaurant manager will oversee the operation of the restaurant, and staff management, and ensure that the customers have an easy experience in the restaurant. He or she plays a very crucial role in implementing organizational change policies, managing financial resources, and maintaining high standards of service.

Should have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in restaurant or hospitality industry management, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple areas of responsibility.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Supervision:
    • Lead and supervise a team of 16-20 employees across various departments.
    • Allocate resources (material, human, and financial) to implement company policies and programs.
    • Delegate authority and responsibility to middle managers, directors, and staff to create optimal working conditions.
  • Strategic Planning & Policy Implementation:
    • Develop and implement financial and administrative controls to streamline restaurant operations.
    • Establish objectives for the restaurant and formulate or approve policies and programs associated with the goals of the company.
    • Coordinate the work of various regions, divisions, or departments to confirm constant quality throughout all areas.
  • Hiring & Staff Development:
    • Oversee the recruitment of middle managers, directors, and other senior staff.
    • Delegate tasks and create opportunities for staff development, ensuring that all team members have a positive and productive work environment.
  • Budgeting & Financial Management:
    • Monitor and control the restaurant's budget and expenditures.
    • Approve promotional campaigns and oversee overall human resources planning.
  • Customer Service & Representation:
    • Represent the organization in negotiations and official functions or appoint representatives to act on behalf of the restaurant.
    • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through strategic planning, quality control, and exceptional service.

 

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Work Setting:
    • Willingness to relocate if necessary.
    • Experience in accommodation and food services is preferred.
    • Familiarity with restaurant operations and food service management.
  • Tasks:
    • Ability to manage resources, implement policies, and oversee staff performance.
    • Strong decision-making abilities in hiring and delegation of authority.
    • Skilled in formulating promotional campaigns and managing human resources.
  • Supervision:
    • Experience supervising 16-20 staff across different departments or areas of responsibility.
  • Transportation/Travel:
    • Willingness to travel as needed to attend meetings, oversee operations, or manage multi-location functions.
