Position Overview:
PRIMEC Controls Canada is seeking a highly experienced and
strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive team. As a
key financial leader, the CFO will play a critical role in driving the
financial strategy of the company, overseeing the finance and administration
teams, and guiding the company through its next phase of growth, which includes
mergers, acquisitions, and capital management across multiple entities. The CFO
will ensure the integrity of our financial systems, influence our growth
trajectory, and be instrumental in strategic decision-making as we continue to
expand in the energy sector.
This is a full-time position based in Estevan,
Saskatchewan, offering a unique opportunity to work with a dynamic company

Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Financial Leadership:Provide oversight and leadership for the company's financial management, driving strategic decisions and ensuring the organization's financial health.
- Team Management:Lead a finance and administration team of seven, ensuring effective financial operations and supporting the professional development of team members.
- Financial Planning & Reporting:Manage all aspects of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting to support the company’s growth objectives. Provide timely and accurate financial insights to the executive team.
- Mergers & Acquisitions:Play a key role in overseeing mergers, acquisitions, and other growth initiatives. Lead due diligence efforts and integration processes to support the company’s expansion.
- Capital Management:Architect and manage capital strategies for multiple business entities. Ensure efficient allocation and management of financial resources to maximize returns and support growth.
- ERP System Implementation:Oversee the implementation and management of ERP systems to streamline financial operations. Familiarity with Discovery Solutions ERP is considered an asset.
- Compliance & Risk Management:Ensure the company remains compliant with financial regulations and manage risks related to financial operations. Safeguard the organization’s assets and financial position.
Qualifications and Skills:
- CPA Designation:A Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
- Experience:10-15 years of relevant experience with a blend of public accounting and industry experience, ideally in the oil and gas sector. Experience managing multiple entities and scaling businesses is preferred.
- Mergers & Acquisitions Expertise:Proven experience in leading mergers and acquisitions is a significant asset.
- ERP Systems Experience:Experience in implementing and working with ERP systems. Familiarity with Discovery Solutions is considered an advantage.
- Leadership & Team Management:Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and manage a finance and administration team.
- Financial Strategy:Excellent understanding of financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and risk management. The ability to drive financial strategies to support the company’s growth.
- Communication Skills:Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders.
