Position Overview:
Hope’s Home, a leader in inclusive childcare services, is hiring a dedicated Nurse for our Early Learning Center. The role focuses on providing hands-on medical care and an all-inclusive approach to the health and welfare of children, particularly those with complex medical needs. Nurses collaborate closely with staff, parents/guardians, and caregivers to advocate for and address each child’s health requirements, ensuring they reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Nursing Care: Deliver medical care in alignment with valid nursing licenses (SALPN, CRNS, or RPNA), adhering to professional competencies and reflecting the goals and values of Hope’s Home.
  • Childcare and Education: Collaborate with the childcare team to create a nurturing environment where children’s physical, emotional, and social needs are met. Act as a role model and educator, promoting inclusivity and diversity through engaging activities and conversations.
  • Advocacy: Partner with families and guardians to ensure children’s health needs are understood and met, building trust and working collaboratively to support each child.
  • Leadership: Utilize your skills to contribute to the organization’s success. You will have opportunities for management training, be encouraged to share ideas, and receive respect as a valued healthcare professional.
  • Team Collaboration: Work alongside other staff, including educators, to ensure high-quality care and learning experiences. Encourage and promote an inclusive culture for children and staff alike.

Required Qualifications:

  • Licensing: Active nursing license in good standing with one of the following: SALPN, CRNS, or RPNA.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years of pediatric nursing experience is preferred.
  • Certifications: Current First Aid and CPR Level BLS certifications are mandatory.
  • Specialized Skills: Experience with ventilators and Transferring, Lifting, and Repositioning (TLR) training are considered assets.
  • Driver’s License: A requirement of a valid driver's license.
