Position Overview:
The Village of Richmound is seeking an experienced and motivated Municipal Administrator to oversee its daily operations. This part-time role is ideal for candidates looking to work in a leadership capacity while maintaining flexibility in their schedule. The successful candidate will work 3 days a week, from Monday to Wednesday, 9 am to 4 pm, ensuring smooth municipal functions, maintaining compliance with government regulations, and providing high-quality service to local residents. As the face of the municipality, the Municipal Administrator will report directly to the Village Council and play a key role in improving operational efficiencies and addressing community needs.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the day-to-day municipal operations in close coordination with the Village Council.
• Provide exceptional customer service by responding to public inquiries and addressing concerns promptly.
• Administer various municipal functions, including document management, communication with stakeholders, budgeting, and financial reporting.
• Process applications for permits, licenses, and municipal services, ensuring all legal and procedural guidelines are followed.
• Prepare agendas, minutes, and reports for Village Council meetings and ensure timely execution of decisions made by the Council.
• Oversee municipal projects, contracts, and public works, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively and deadlines are met.
• Operate essential office software such as Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and other web-based tools to manage administrative and financial tasks.
• Ensure compliance with municipal bylaws, policies, and other relevant legislation.

Qualifications:
• Urban Standard Certificate in Local Government Administration (or willingness to complete the certification).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, fostering positive working relationships with residents, council members, and other stakeholders.
• Proven time management and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Proficiency in office software, including advanced use of Microsoft Excel for financial tracking and reporting.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in completing administrative tasks.
• Familiarity with municipal governance, public administration, and local government regulations is preferred.
