Position Overview:
The Saskatchewan Indigenous Cultural Centre (SICC), an institution of the
Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations (FSIN), seeks a President to lead
its mission to protect, preserve, and promote First Nations cultures and
languages in Saskatchewan. The President will oversee the Centre’s operations
and provide leadership to achieve its strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee
efficient operations, including financial and administrative management.
- Lead
curriculum writing, development, and program creation.
- Build
and maintain relationships with First Nations communities, councils,
governments, and organizations.
- Report
to the Board of Governors, FSIN Treasury Board, and Chiefs in Assembly.
- Ensure
the Centre’s progress aligns with its mission and objectives.
Qualifications:
- Master’s
Degree in Education, Administration, or a related field.
- 3-5
years of executive leadership experience.
- Knowledge
of First Nations cultures, histories, protocols, and languages.
- Proven
experience with program development and government funding processes.
- Strong
communication and leadership skills, with experience working with a Board
of Governors.
