Position: Plumber

Key Responsibilities of the Job:
1. Installation of Plumbing Systems:
- Install piping systems for water supply, waste disposal, and ventilation.
- Fit and install plumbing fixtures such as bathtubs, sinks, and toilets in accordance with local plumbing codes and regulations.
- Make sure all installations comply with safety regulations and meet high-quality standards.
2. Repair & Maintenance:
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with plumbing systems and appliances, including water heaters, faucets, and toilets.
- Repair broken, leaky, or clogged pipes and drains.
- Perform routine maintenance on plumbing systems to avoid potential failures and reduce the need for costly repairs.
3. System Inspections:
- Conduct inspections of plumbing systems to ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
- Provide detailed reports to homeowners, property managers, and business owners on the state of plumbing systems, including recommended repairs or upgrades.
4. Customer Service:
- Communicate directly with clients to explain plumbing issues and the proposed solutions.
- Offer cost-effective, professional recommendations that ensure the safety and functionality of plumbing systems.
- Be responsive and respectful to client needs, maintaining high standards of customer service and professionalism.
5. Blueprint and Code Compliance:
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and plumbing codes to ensure the work is carried out according to plan and within legal standards.
- Keep abreast of changes in plumbing codes, techniques, and tools to stay current with industry practices.
6. Safety and Risk Management:
- Follow safety protocols when working with heavy equipment and hazardous materials.
- Ensure all tools and machinery are used correctly and safely, reducing the risk of accidents or injuries.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to avoid potential hazards.
Required Qualifications:
- Plumbing License: Most states require a licensed plumber to work. If you're not already licensed, we can help you obtain one through apprenticeship programs.
- Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A technical degree in plumbing or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of hands-on plumbing experience is preferred. Entry-level candidates with plumbing school training or apprenticeship experience are also encouraged to apply.
- Valid Driver's License: Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel to job sites.
- Physical Stamina: Plumbing can be physically challenging. Candidates should be in good physical condition and able to lift heavy tools and equipment, bend, kneel, and work in confined spaces.
- Clear Communication: Effective communication skills are a must. You will be working closely with clients, contractors, and team members, and should be able To communicate complex issues in an easy-to-understand manner.
